23 July 2015 Promotion of cultural and gastronomic heritage of Maragatería and Bierzo

Neighbors, united by the "Camino de Santiago" (the pilgrims route to Santiago de Compostela), and now brothers. The Bierzo Designation of Origin Regulator Board, the Chamber of Commerce and the City of Astorga, the Association of Municipalities of the "Maragatería" and the Leonesa Academy of Gastronomy signed today at the headquarters of CRDO Bierzo (Cacabelos, León) a "twinning" agreement between two of the great products of the gastronomy of León: the "Cocido Maragato" stew and the Bierzo wines, which will soon be part of the General Census of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
